Wade Trahan

K. Wade TrahanA native of Kaplan, Louisiana, Kevin “Wade” Trahan is an experienced litigator who graduated from USL with a Bachelor of Science in Geology and obtained his Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law Center in 1990. Wade was admitted to practice before all Louisiana State Courts by admission to the Louisiana Bar in 1991. Wade is admitted to practice in all of Louisiana’s Federal Districts, the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.

Across three decades, Wade has acquired valuable experience and developed keen insight across numerous practice areas, including health care, insurance defense, eminent domain, and municipal liability defense, among others.

From 1991 to 2001, Wade served as the City Risk Management Attorney for the City of Abbeville. From 2004 to 2010, Wade served as the Assistant City- Parish Attorney for Lafayette City-Parish Consolidated Government. Later, in June of 2018, Wade began serving as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Youngsville before becoming Youngsville’s City Attorney in 2022.

Wade resides in Youngsville, Louisiana, and actively gives back to the local community. The Louisiana State Bar Association awarded Wade the Pro Bono Publico Award in 2015, the Friend of Pro Bono Award in 2014, as well as the Pro Bono Century Award in 2012, 2013, and 2014.
Wade is an avid sportsman and the father of three boys, Grant, Christian, and Hayes.
