A native of Crowley, Louisiana, Jim's pre-legal experience includes work as both a mechanic and a truck driver. He attended Louisiana State University and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration in 1985. In 1988, Jim received his Juris Doctor Degree from Loyola University School of Law. He has been practicing as a defense attorney handling litigation matters in the areas of insurance, transportation, trucking, products liability, and warranty litigation. Jim is admitted in all State and Federal Courts in Louisiana and is a member in good standing in the American Bar Association, as well as all state and local bar associations. He is also a member of The Trucking Industry Defense Association, Defense Research Institute, and the Louisiana Association of Defense Attorneys. Jim currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Lafayette Bar Association and a member of the Board of Directors of the Trucking Industry Defense Association.
