A native of Crowley, Louisiana, Jim’s pre-legal experience includes work as both a mechanic and a truck driver. He attended Louisiana State University and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration in 1985.
In 1988, Jim received his Juris Doctor Degree from Loyola University School of Law. He has been practicing as a defense attorney handling litigation matters in the areas of insurance, transportation, trucking, products liability, and warranty litigation.
Jim is admitted in all State and Federal Courts in Louisiana and is a member in good standing in the American Bar Association, as well as all state and local bar associations. He served on the Board of Directors of The Trucking Industry Defense Association (TIDA) for eight years, two years as President. Jim is currently on the Board of Directors of The American College of Transportation Attorneys (ACTA). He is AV Rated by Martindale Hubbell.
